To assist store manager in the effective management of store operations in order to achieve business profitability targets through operational excellence.Purpose and ObjectivesTo assist the Store Manager in achieving maximum profitability for the store by managing key financial indicators (sales, trading profit, shrinkage, wastage, stock and expenses) aligned to budget and/ or set targetsTo assist the Store Manager in the delivery of consistently high standards of customer service to drive customer loyaltyTo assist the Store Manager to reduce and manage risk by driving compliance to all operational processes, policies and proceduresTo assist the Store Manager with effective people management practices to build staff and operational capacity requirements aligned to business strategyTo be a role model for employees, presenting the image and behaviour of management to which the company aspires through its valuesTo take accountability for the continued daily operations of the store in the absence of the Store Manager
