Job Description

The School of Nursing and Public Health wishes to appoint a sessional lecturer whowill co-convene two Master of Public Health modules (a. Research Methods andBioethics module b. Qualitative Research). The candidate will also be required to beinvolved in postgraduate student teaching and supervision on the Masters in PublicHealth.The academic title of the successful incumbent will be determined during theselection process in line with the University Senate-approved criteria for academicpromotions which is available on the HR Vacancies Website –http://vacancies.ukzn.ac.za/Home.aspx

Responsibilities + Skills

Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate student supervision;Strong qualitative research methodology skillsExperience in qualitative data analysis using appropriate softwareComputer literacy

Education

A relevant Masters degree / equivalent public health qualification;

Experience

At least five years of research experienceAt least three years of teaching experienceExperience in postgraduate public health medicine teaching and programmes
