12 Month Contract - Part-Time Appointments

Job Description

PIETERMARITZBURG (X1 POST - 1 DAY PER WEEK)The School wishes to appoint a statistics/biostatistics consultants for one day per week inthe Discipline of Public Health on a 12 month contract with the option to renew.This person would be responsible for assisting a staff and students with statistical aspectsof their research (protocol design or data analysis) through one on one consultations onone dedicated day each week.

Responsibilities + Skills

The closing date for receipt of applications is Thursday 4 July 2019. The University however,reserves the right in special circumstances to accept late applications or to extend theabove date in order to facilitate further searches.

Education

Preferably a Masters degree in Statistics or related quantitative field. Applicants withan Honours Degree in Statistics (or related quantitative field) will also be consideredif other criteria below are excellent;

Experience

At least one years experience with statistics/biostatistics consulting;Evidence of having conducted analysis for publications and/or development ofstatistical components successful grant applications AND
