Job Description

Job DescriptionThe individual will be required to supervise staff, organise and monitor work flow. Will be responsible for maximizing the plants performance in a safe, legal and cost effective manner utilizing the available resources. Duties and Responsibilities not limited to: • Leading a team that is responsible for total production • Align, guide and co-ordinate the activities of the team to achieve targets in terms of production volumes, quality, safety, costs and staff development • Manage on a shift basis the printing of labels and manufacturing of PVC shelf strips. Ensure effective performance of all aspects of the plant. • Keep the management team up to date of all risks, equipment, quality issues and people • Achieve manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results, disciplining staff, initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems and policies and procedures • Maintain workflow, implementing cost reductions, facilitating corrections to malfunctions, within process control points.

Must be willing to work shifts Must have own transport May be required to do work not related to the job description

Education

Literate in English Good understanding of production, job card calculations and the complete production cycle from raw material to finished product Computer literate and printing program experience and advantage

Experience

Experience Minimum 5 years Management or Supervisory experience Must have experience in Flexo Adhesive label printing (Mark Andy advantage)
