Job Description

Sasolburg Operations (SO) is an integrated facility that includes the Sasol One, Sasol Midland and Sasol Bunsen sites responsible for the production of base and performance chemicals. We also produce electricity and other utilities and provide site support services to enable the manufacturing process on all sites.ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOBBe able to perform all artisan functions related to petrochemical plant instrumentation and control system maintenance, operations support and fault finding.

Responsibilities + Skills

An ability to read and interpret instrument loop drawings, control logic diagrams, data sheets and associated technical documentsCompliance to the MOC process for changes to existing plant and equipmentData extraction and analysis (fault finding, trends etc.)


Support to mechanical/electrical maintenance and production when requestedParticipation in artisan standby dutiesPlant experience will be an advantageComputer literate


A practical understanding of IS and SILA practical understanding of EX and hazardous area classificationsFull compliance to Sasol task risk assessments, work instructions and working proceduresInstallation, testing and commissioning new/repaired instrumentation installations in accordance with Sasol specifications
