Job PurposeTo ensure compliance and governance of relevant Nedbank Group sub committees and domestic subsidiary companies to legislative requirements and to mitigate risks to the bank.Job ResponsibilitiesAchieve business strategy (e.g. Green Strategy) by participating and supporting corporate social responsibility initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve or enhance business processes and methodologies by researching; developing; implementing and recommending improvement initiatives (e.g. continuous auditing; and effective ways to operate and add value to Nedbank).Ensure delivery within set timelines by managing required stakeholder deliverables.Ensure deliverables for Team and Self are met by monitoring project timelines and taking appropriate action.Avoid penalty fees and minimize costs by ensuring timeous lodgment of required statutory documents.Ensure overall financial objectives are met by monitoring expenditure against budget for team.Ensure adequate resourcing for team; meet business requirements and mitigate risk by conducting staff capacity planning.Monitor the level of compliance of subsidiaries; and escalate noncompliance issues to relevant governance forums by collating and analyzing information regarding subsidiaries from direct reports.
