Department DescriptionThe Psychology Department at Wits is large and vibrant, with a strong research and professional-training reputation. Primary responsibilities would include teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, production of research publications, supervision of postgraduate research, administrative responsibilities commensurate with the position. Brief DescriptionRequirements: Substantial progress towards a PhD for Associate lecturer and a PhD for lecturer, teaching and research interests that are commensurate with areas of educational psychology; proven research ability as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and/or research reports, registration with the HPCSA in the category of Educational Psychologist; ability to provide clinical supervision to trainee educational psychologists. Demonstration of experience in academic administration would be to the candidate’s advantage. Experience in teaching educational psychology at a tertiary level would also be an advantage.
