The School of Built Environment and Development Studies seeks to appoint anAssociate Professor to teach, supervise, and provide academic leadership withinthe Disciplines of Development Studies. The successful candidates will beexpected to lecture postgraduate students; contribute to the academic andmanagement functions within the discipline and the School; to conduct andpublish research as well engage at the community level with partners in SouthAfrica and abroad.Minimum Requirements PhD in Development Studies or related field; 5 years’ experience in either tertiary teaching or relevant Mentorship/supervision experience in an industrial or researchenvironment; A nationally and internationally recognized thought leader with anacademic and research profile of note, having led and/or co-ledresearch projects as PI or Co-PI; Evidence of management and leadership experience in a tertiary orresearch institution setting; A current record of appropriate research as evidenced by publications inaccredited journals, books, and peer reviewed conference proceedings; Successful evidence of student supervision and extensive mentorship ofstudents in an industrial or research environment; Evidence of effective research in quantitative research methods.
