ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To identify, analyze and control mine SHE risks. To investigate nonconformance and incidents and to determine changes to improve SHE outcomes. To plan and conduct annual SHE management review process and implement proposed changes.

- Coordinate all site safety needs and activities including advising management on safety issues.
Training records of employees
Pro-active needs assessment and action plan
Contribution in mine workgroup
- Determine and compile site wide safety audit trends, analyse injury patters, propose and track outstanding activities
Zero outstanding actions on findings
- Facilitate accident and incident investigations, conducting root cause analyses and implementing action plans to control SHE risk

Vacancy rates vs. Staff Establishment (vacancies incl. Absence due to TSD / PSD), AWOPSuccessors for critical positions
(Finance) Prime responsibility for annual budget including volume, capex and cost requirements and control cost to ensure production volumes are achieved within budget.
Minimum of 3 years at Assistant SHE manager level;16 years total work experience
