Compliance Specialist

Job Description

Job PurposeNedbank Group Compliance: Shared Services seeks to employ a Compliance Specialist to support the Head of Compliance in creating a compliance culture and implement Compliance Risk Management Methodology in the Central Shared Services clusters of the Bank.Job ResponsibilitiesPlanningDeveloping an annuel risk-based compliance monitoring programme.ExecutionFacilitating the process of identifying and communicating compliance risks and impact on the business.execute on the compliance risk management programme and application of compliance risk management practices on an ad hoc basis.Performing compliance issues tracking.Tracking of generic compliance risk indicators (e.g. fines, penalties, regulatory relationships, regulatory developments, etc.) and develop bespoke Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for specific regulatory requirements.Monitor the state of governance and compliance in the business, taking into account the culture, results of the internal audit reviews, Risk and Control Self-Assessments, etc.

Responsibilities + Skills

Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Education

Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships with other co-assurance functions (e.g. Risk and Internal Audit), specialised regulatory change initiatives and specialist regulatory officers.Engage with stakeholders formally through determining scope of work, understanding and identifying client needs.

Experience

Must have a minimum of 4-5 years compliance experience with exposure to implementing methodology and performing compliance monitoring.
