Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced construction procurement officer/buyer to handle all purchases for the company and the procurement of materials and subcontractors for our projects Qualifications & Experience: 5 - Years' experience as Procurement Specialist / Buyer in the Construction industry. Computerised purchasing material ordering and control, preferable Quickbooks. Intermediate to advance Excel proficiency. Qualification in Purchasing Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent (advantageous). Knowledge of construction industry contracting principles and procurement. Experience of negotiating contracts Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions. Able to work on their own initiative, within established procedures and as part of a team Ability to work well to tight deadlines Strong time management skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in a demanding environment. Ability to handle a number of tasks at one time. Be able to work accurately. Articulate and able to communicate on all levels - face to face, telephonically and e-mail. Duties and Responsibilities: Sourcing materials Negotiate with suppliers to reduce overall cost, minimize administrative burdens, and assure that all necessary contractual items are adequately covered. Analyze supplier quotations and proposals to determine lowest overall cost solution
