Dean - College Research

Job Description

The Dean: College Research is an academic leadership role, which provides strategic directionand co-ordination in all research related matters in the College, ensures alignment of allresearch programmes and is responsible for disseminating best practice research for theCollege. S/he shall formalize collaborations across schools in the College and, as a member ofResearch Strategy Group, shall be responsible for developing policy and ensuring consistentimplementation of centrally agreed decisions and strategic initiates.

Responsibilities + Skills

Evidence of good knowledge of the national research landscape and familiarity withresearch policies of the Department of Higher Education and Training, the National ResearchFoundation and Department of Science and Technology.

Education

Relevant PhD/Doctoral degree;Professor/Associate Professor with three (3) experience in an academic/research leadershiprole;
