Driver Recruitment Manager

The responsibilities will include:

  • Manage, and where applicable, design talent acquisition tools, systems, policies and procedures in collaboration with the relevant Driver Operations Managers of Takealot Delivery Team and Mr D Food
  • Design attraction strategies aligned with workforce plans
  • Optimise talent acquisition processes based on trend analysis, operational constraints & bottlenecks, and varying business requirements
  • Report on a weekly and monthly basis on lead generation, funnel progress and conversion metrics
  • Closely collaborate with and guide the Takealot Delivery Team and Mr D Food driver recruitment teams
  • Establish recruitment priorities based on geographic and weekday requirements with the relevant Driver Operations Managers
  • Establish the requirements and the efforts of the various driver vacancy advertising and sourcing channels (print, digital, social, specialist recruiters etc.)
  • Partner with the Franchisee / Hub Manager and the Mr D Food driver team on all recruitment activities and initiatives to maximize engagement and retention of Drivers
  • Review, revise, and develop standard operating procedures to guide the operational structures in their recruitment efforts
  • Analyse factors inhibiting candidate (driver) acquisition and implement strategies to reduce attrition through on-boarding
  • Identify talent management opportunities and pools and equip the team with the frameworks, tools and guidelines to effectively build a talent pool in support of Group objectives
  • Review and improve existing processes and establish new system requirements to align process requirements with business needs
  • Ensure that the systems and procedures used are innovative, competitive, scalable and can be integrated with other systems
  • Facilitate the development of training & upskilling programs and procedures pertaining to driver interviewing protocol, systems usage, and national recruitment practices
  • Remain abreast of innovative and progressive recruitment practices and new approaches

Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management / Industrial Psychology


5 years' experience in Talent acquisition, recruitment, HR generalistEnd to end project and team managementExperience on bulk recruitment
