Job Description

The incumbent is required to manage and support UKZN lnQubate in thedevelopment, operationalization and promotion of the Student EntrepreneurshipPortfolio and UKZN student businesses. The individual will be required to engage andsupport all stakeholders to ensure the achievement of the objectives of the Portfoliowhile ensuring the development of suitable infrastructure to support the objectives ofthe portfolio, fundraising and effectively managing the portfolio.As part of the operations of the portfolio; the incumbent will be expected todevelop, implement and review all policies and procedures to manage the UKZNStudent Entrepreneurship Portfolio and ensure that all UKZN lnQubate StudentEntrepreneurship policies, procedures, processes, SOPs, templates, and associatedcompliance documents are strictly adhered to. Other regular operations will includeimplementation of programmes, interventions and training to be rolled out across allUKZN campuses, internal and external marketing of the Portfolio and be able toprovide technical advice and guidance on business concepts, prototypes andbusiness models.Own transport is required in order to ensure freedom to engage with and attendmeeting with stakeholders on each of the university campuses, as well and outsidethe university.

Responsibilities + Skills


A Relevant Masters level degree ( or Equivalent)Four (4) years work experience in a management position.


Experience in project management, enterprise development, businessadministration, business incubation and people management.
