Job DescriptionMAJOR PURPOSE : The position directs the activities of the procurement and export staff to ensure that the procurement and export of goods is executed on time, properly documented and compliant from a governmental regulatory and company policy standpoint. MAJOR DUTIES : Provides day to day work direction to the subordinates to ensure that the procurement and export process is properly executed. Analyses the impact of business and process changes on the export process to include problem resolution and initiating. Communicates and implements changes to ensure non-interruption or minimal interruption to the procurement and export process. Initiates and executes continuous improvement projects, working with partners, customers and 3rd Party Logistics (3PL's). Provides leadership and direction by coaching, counseling, mentoring and evaluation of staff members. Initiates and works with each employee to establish stretch performance and development goals that are in alignment with department, unit and enterprise objectives. Monitors throughout the year the employee's progress level and their competency. Prepares export documentation, forwarding and invoicing instructions based upon the customer/partner profile and/or letter of credit to ensure that products are exported in a timely manner with proper documentation to the receiving party and in compliance with all governmental regulations. Identifies, develops, analyzes and publishes metrics for the procurement and export process. Technical Skills & Knowledge : Understanding of Order Fulfillment Process. Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Knowledge of unit processes and operations Experience in specific areas of Supply Management such as: supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, scheduling, forecasting, logistics, etc. Project management experience. - Less Complex Project, consists of some or all of the following criteria: 5 or less persons on the project team; 1 or 2 disciplines involved; 1 or 2 facilities involved, scope in dollars is less than $500,000 and is determined on budget, revenues generated, savings, etc. Work experience in a team environment. - 1 - 3 years
