We currently have a lecturer level post available with primary responsibilities for teaching and supervision in the area of clinical psychology and related subject matter.
Requirements: Prospective candidates should have a PhD in Psychology. They should be registered in the category of Clinical Psychology, preferably for the minimum three years required to supervise trainee clinical psychologists. Proof of registration with HPCSA will be required for appointment.
In addition, evidence of teaching experience at a tertiary level institution, clinical supervision experience and/or publication or research outputs would also be an advantage. Indication of commitment to transformation imperatives in higher education and training and in the profession of Clinical Psychology in contemporary South Africa would also be an asset.

The successful candidate will be required to teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels in areas such as Psychological Assessment, Personality Theory, Abnormal Psychology, Psychological Interventions, Developmental Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology. The person will also be expected to supervise the practical work of trainee clinical psychologists and to supervise masters level research projects. In addition, the person is expected to develop a research trajectory, produce research outputs and take part in the intellectual and public life of the school and university, including in the promotion of transformation objectives.
