LECTURER (TECHNOLOGY AND NATURAL SCIENCES EDUCATION) - TECH

Job Description

The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise students in TechnologyEducation and Natural Sciences Education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.S/he will also be engaged with teaching practice, curriculum development, and delivery aswell as research in Technology Education and/or Science Education. This position requiresan academic who is willing to undertake further studies and research in order to contributeto the Science and Technology Education Cluster’s broader mission of Science andTechnology Education provision and community engagement.

Responsibilities + Skills

A professional South African teaching qualification.Evidence of experience in teaching Technology and / or Natural Sciences at school (inthe GET Band in South African schools for a minimum period of three years) or tertiarylevels.

Education

An undergraduate Bachelors degree (Specialisation in Technology Education and / orNatural Sciences Education) or Bachelors degree in Science / Engineering and a

Experience

A Masters degree in the field of Technology and / or Science Education or an MSc inScience/ Engineering Education.
