To provide a comprehensive legal advisory service to multiple business areas. To identify, manage and mitigate legal risks in respect of relevant bank products and servicesKey Responsibilities/Accountabilities Review, draft and negotiate agreementsTo review, draft and negotiate various legal documents including but not limited to bank product terms and conditions, sponsorship agreements, merchant agreements, service level agreements, collaboration agreements, services agreements, lease agreements, confidentiality agreements, distribution agreements, funding agreements, disclaimers, indemnities, waivers, letters of demand, notice of breach, memorandums of understanding, including:collating all information required for the accurate completion of all forms of legal documentation or any ancillary documents thereto and the preparation thereof in a professional format and in compliance with Standard Bank’s and its subsidiaries’ standards;maintenance of acceptable drafting and formatting standards in the preparation of all documentation;complying with all turnaround standards;accurate and comprehensive drafting of legal documentation;scrutinising signed documentation to be beyond reproach;contract negotiation with third parties and clients and their legal representatives; and minimum reworks and rapid turnaround times to be ensured.
