Job Details Risk Management: understanding all risks – from the economic to the political – that could affect our global business, and offering guidance to all parts of the bankJob PurposeTo contribute to and implement the Credit Rehabilitation and Recoveries strategy in alignment with Standard Bank Group's (SBG) overall strategy.To manage and coordinate the Home Loans Legal portfolio through profiling, reviewing, investigating, reporting matters and escalating high risk defences and allegations,To ensure that all identified risk in the legal and collecting process are efficiently and effectively handled.Key Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesData• Collate information and refer relevant legal opinions and reviews, ensuring adherence to set standards of processing in order to identify any deficiencies on documentation and systems utilised that could lead to unsatisfactory legal outcomes.Financial Management• Contribute towards the effectiveness and efficiency of the department by exercising caution to mitigate operational losses on legal matters.People• Guide and support attorneys on various foreclosure process and strategies through coordinating engagements through the Vendor Management Framework.• Monitor and evaluate the timeous and effective management of various legal matters by attorneys ensuring that they operate within the set mandate of Home loans legal structure through providing basic legal guidance and subject matter expertise.• Build and maintain sound and effective working relationships with team members, and support departments through engagement on legal matters by engaging all stakeholders on a regular basis in order to determine suitable resolutions in all matters.
