Job Description

Job PurposeTo manage investment portfolios for South African high net worth private clients, domestic and offshore, to ensure an optimal investment return for the client and to contribute to enhanced MD revenue growth. To provide leadership and guidance for the team and ensure all managerial responsibilities are fulfilled.Key Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesRevenue & Financial targetsThe incumbent is responsible for new client acquisition and organic client revenue growth - targets set at the beginning of the financial year.Provides thought-leadership, innovation and strategic ability for better ways of working, and servicing various distribution channels within the bank, with strong multi-disciplinary expertiseDevelops strong relationships with key distribution channels and internal stakeholdersInteracts effectively with senior management internally and externally and able to facilitate growth of the advisory offering in Melville Douglas.Strong commercial focus and ability to monetise our offering.Must have the ability to make informed decisions and take accountability for resultsMust be knowledgeable across sectors and able to speak definitively on our views across our holdings. Provides valuable insights across sectors and able to have strong views based on robust, well considered analysis on relevant information.Actively probes investment research and ensures it is fit for distribution outside of the companyActively probes investment research and ensures it is fit for distribution outside of the company
