To gather and analyse relevant information and insights for Retail and Business Banking clients in order to support the Head Complex Solutions to deliver appropriate leverage and acquisition finance solutions, together with Commercial Property Finance.
To act as subject matter expert where leveraged acquisition finance (LAF) solutions and Commercial Property Finance where required.
Actively target and acquire new clients to the bank and assist in providing them with finance and moving their entire banking relationship to Standard Bank.
•Supports the Head of Complex Solutions, the Provincial Heads, and Relationship Managers in the expansion of existing LAF portfolios by maintaining close and frequent contact with them and their customers to analyse and establish ecosystem leads of non-to bank potential clients and understand their financial requirements.
•Increasing the number of new to bank clients banked by Retail and Business Banking through the acquisition of new risk groups.
•Visits and compiles client reports for customers in support of meeting their LAF requirements.
•Provides detailed and relevant insights and analysis to support revenue growth and decision making for the head of the area.
•Identifies and actions opportunities for cross- and up sell.
•The primary focus is to increase new to bank customers which are primarily debt lead, together with supporting the provincial teams with complex transactions where specialist input is required, and the skills are not available in the said Province.
•Provides input into the structuring of LAF solutions in support of the head of the area and the area and the relationship managers when dealing with new to bank clients.
•Adheres to the customer engagement model in order to meet customer demand (conducts follow-up and/or information gathering visits).
•Accompanies relationship managers where required to analyse and identify customer LAF needs and to better understand their financial requirements with new to bank opportunities.
•Ensures that customer analysis is produced timeously. Provides specialist input into credit applications, and where needed, will draft the respective credit application and will take the application through credit.
•Identifies new opportunities where potential clients are not banked by Standard Bank. Actively devise a plan and implement it in order to bring the client across to Standard Bank.
•Where required, support the relationship managers with existing clients where the client has a complex need that must be solved, and the skill set is not available in Province.
•Identifies and recommends actions to be taken on system conditions in order to eliminate waste.
•Where LAF and New business solutions require new and/or amendments to existing products makes recommendations to the head of the area for input into Product development.
•Assists the head of the area with LAF deal structuring ensuring that credit risk is identified and contained within the risk appetite.
•Drives and implements the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA) to ensure adherence to record keeping and data privacy requirements.
•Complies with all applicable legislative requirements such as National Credit Act (NCA), Companies Act, Consumer Protection Act (CPA), etc.
•Adheres to all internal risk related policies and guidelines.
