Manager: Quantitative Analytics

Job Description

Job PurposeTo manage and oversee a team of quantitative analysts in order to facilitate world class collections and recoveries analytics and risk management. Provide input into strategic collections and recoveries objectives and ensure delivery thereof. Work closely with the Collections and Recoveries teams to align strategies, expectations and measurements. Provide analytical support to the Debt Counselling and Nedbank Retail Recoveries areas. Report to stakeholders the performance of the Collections & Recoveries areasJob ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development of differentiated, superior solutions (solution engineering) that meet stakeholder and business requirements.Ensure product and/or solution design is congruent with the required business specifications.Enable the realisation of the financial business benefits accruing including minimisation of operational costs.Contribute to the development of differentiated, superior solutions (solution engineering) that meet stakeholder and business requirements.Ensure business needs are met through consistent engagement and assistance to business, Provide stakeholders with appropriate insights and enable business growth through delivering analytical results, recommendations, research, analytical methods, appropriate systems and market insights.Ensure transformational target are met.Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth.Create a client service culture.Achieve operational excellence.Encourage team to generate innovative ideas and share knowledge.Manage performance of staff by implementing performance agreements and ensuring a clear vision. Mentor and coach staff on identified performance gaps.Motivate staff to perform and contribute to the success of the business by creating environment of teamwork through engaging with staff (sharing information) and encouraging participation in decision making processes.

Evaluate team performance in accordance to key indicators in Balance Scorecard Design Development Plans of the team guided by the Career Pathing framework

Education

Manage the onboarding process of new employees. Produce results in line with business strategy and requirements.Ensure team has been allocated with a Balance Scorecard with clear measurements.
