Job PurposeThe role of the Transaction Manager is to co-ordinate the end to end transaction process supporting Investment Banking Products in conjunction with various stakeholders (both internal and external to the bank) with a specific focus on deal closing, facility origination, ongoing facility administration, collateral and document management.Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities The Transaction Manager role includes the following key responsibilities:Once draft legal agreements become available, or upon Business’ request prior to draft legal agreement, ensure that the transaction being negotiated can be facilitated on the bank’s systems with minimal manual intervention and can be administered within the bank’s existing operational capabilities. Coordinate the Financial Close process for new deals and refinances/restructures of existing deals:Actively monitor the progress of the fulfilment of the CP’s;Obtain internal sign off of financial close from Business, Risk, Legal and Business Support & Recovery (BS&R) in the event that the client is on the BS&R Watchlist;Coordinate the sign off of the CP Satisfaction Letter;Prepare the Master Document Checklist in conjunction with Business and Legal;Ensure the CP Checklist; CP Satisfaction letter, Internal sign offs and the Master Document Checklist are all loaded on Document Management System (DMS);Finalise funding for the overall transaction with Money Markets (for Rand deals) and Global Markets (for foreign currency deals).Originate all facilities on ACBS at Financial Close and ensure that the transaction on ACBS reflects the transaction structure as per the legal agreements.Ensure that all Conditions Subsequent are fulfilled by their agreed upon dates and/or that any further waivers of Conditions Subsequent are approved by Risk, Business, Legal and BS&R (where applicable).Ensure receipt of copies of all Legal Agreements, CP documents, Risk papers and authority sought.
