Continue to execute successfully the initiatives outlined in our strategic plan with a focus on our equities businessEnabling through technology: Continue to strive for a modern, agile business which leads clients by putting technology and global connectivity at the heart of everything it does, understanding clients better by embracing a data culture, and providing them with the means to seamlessly engage with usNedbank Africa Regions and entering new markets:Focus and understanding potential for trading in Africa while continuing to conduct deeper in-country market assessment. Markets aims to optimise its relationship with subsidiaries in order to increase their product offering and grow African deal flow and income through a dedicated team

Responsibilities + Skills

Familiarity with different jurisdictions on the Nedbank Africa Regions and their regulatory environments relating to investmentKnowledge of South African banking acts, regulations and global markets is preferred


A fundamental understanding of the technicalities of markets and investment banking and quantitative skills are importantProven successful leadership in managing a business of a comparable level of complexity and contribution to NCIB MarketsA thorough understanding of technology underpinning the business, the use of technology to deliver client delivery, and the design and implementation of the technology strategy for the business


A relevant Masters degree or higher qualification is essential10 to 15 years relevant business experience in and knowledge of banking, including but not limited to:Markets, investment banking and/or relevant experience
