Job DescriptionReport to Sales, Marketing and Product Executive. Key Performance Indicators will include, but not limited to; Play a leading role in the development and execution of the group’s strategy Provide a leadership role in the formulation of the group’s annual sales and gross profit margin budgets Design and implement pricing models which will result in the group optimising profit opportunities Undertake frequent visits to major customers with a view to developing personal relationships, to ascertain service satisfaction levels and gauge general market conditions Conduct staff performance appraisals twice a year and ensure that action is taken on results thereof. Ensure that members of the sales team are aware of and operate within the parameters outlined in the group’s strategy. Provide guidance and support to all members of the sales team Periodically establish training needs as well as succession plans across the sales space in the business. In conjunction with the sales team develop business plans which will ensure that the group achieves its turnover and gross profit objectives. Monitor actual performance levels relative to sales and gross profit budgets and implement actions to correct where necessary. Report all shortcomings in our service delivery levels to the appropriate department heads/branch managers and jointly develop plans to correct these where economically possible. Liaise with the Marketing Department insofar as internal promotions are concerned. Share market intelligence with the Marketing Department and jointly develop plans to counter act negative influence and to profitably exploit positive influences. Regularly and comprehensively report to the company Exco on the group’s performance, general market conditions and any other issues which may have an influence on the business. The successful candidate will have to meet the below requirements; Grade 12 / Matric certificate Diploma/Degree in Marketing or Business Studies At least 15 years’ experience in the automotive replacement parts or a similar industry Extensive experience in a senior management position Strong sales orientation with a high degree of general business/financial knowledge Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies High level of computer literacy
