To ensure SLAs are met in order to minimise the impact of outages on the operations of the bank and to speedily resolve any outage to minimise customer impact whilst assisting and training Senior Operators on Systems.Job ResponsibilitiesContribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSIStay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growthIdentify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems and policies and support implementation of new processes, policies and systemsEscalate, resolve and close outages/problems telephonically to supervisor/manager and record on Incident Management Tool (IMT)Build relationships through liaising with relevant support areas and managementProvide client service through the issuing and resetting of emergency passwords with relevant authorisation when required and record actions on Incident Management Tool (IMT), and by validating files from Head Office and Support areasKeep managers and relevant stakeholders up to date on major outages or significant eventsUnderstand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholdersEnsure information is provided correctly to stakeholdersAttend formal training and obtain certification where applicable and apply in workplaceSuggest improvements to process, procedures, standards and automation as well as input on improvements on systems run timeEscalate non-adherence to SLAs to third line support, and inform line manager of escalationIdentify and resolve outages by escalating to third line support and management to ensure and follow upEnsure online availability for new day as per SLAsMonitor system performance and make recommendations

Responsibilities + Skills

Ensure optimum mainframe activity by managing System Maintenance (IPLs) in conjunction with the relevant support areaEnsure SMS notification for critical outages are sent outEnsure all SLA' are metMitigate risk by recording all outages on IMT and provide first line technical supportResolve issues through fault finding and proactive monitoring of the system

Education

Restore service by providing feedback to Incident and Problem Management on outages on various platformsOversee the monitoring all batches on various platforms via monitoring toolsOversee queries and operations on ATMs/ SSTs and distributed environment
