PIETERMARITZBURG (X1 POST - 1 DAY PER WEEK)The School wishes to appoint a statistics/biostatistics consultants for one day per week inthe Discipline of Public Health on a 12 month contract with the option to renew.This person would be responsible for assisting a staff and students with statistical aspectsof their research (protocol design or data analysis) through one on one consultations onone dedicated day each week.The academic designation/salary grade of the successful incumbent will be determinedduring the selection process in line with the University Senate-approved criteria foracademic promotions which is available on the HR Vacancies Website –http://vacancies.ukzn.ac.za/Home.aspx

Responsibilities + Skills

Education

Preferably a Masters degree in Statistics or related quantitative field. Applicants withan Honours Degree in Statistics (or related quantitative field) will also be considered

Experience in undergraduate and post graduate teaching programmes, preferably
