Job DescriptionResponsible for managing all Control Room functions as well as the implementation, compliance and enforcement of all company’s Safety Regulations. Carry out timeous and accurate reporting as well as ensuring the safe, efficient and competent operation of all aspects of the Control Room Maintain an updated register for the issue & returns of all Plant Safety and High Voltage Regulations Drafting of all Standard Operating Instructions and all Safety-related procedures Maintaining of system records, Administrator for all System Software, Training of Production / Maintenance staff on the use of Permit to Work System Assume responsibility for all practical training Ensuring efficient and competent operation of the Control Room Responsible for effective manning of your department and take responsibility for leave arrangements, plant cover, overtime management and disciplinary issues. Chair the Examination Committee,Assume responsibility for all practical training Extensive knowledge & understanding of OHS Act, Excavation Construction Regulations, & Company ,PSR & ORHVS Regulations, OHS Act & Codes, Good report writing skills Good management and communication skills Extensive knowledge & understanding of OHS Act, Excavation Construction Regulations PSR & ORHVS, PC Skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Maximo, OPSLOG Workflow (ETD Requirements NQF Level 4) ETD Certification as Electrical Level 4 Legislative Practitioner and Assessor & Moderator Certification an advantage Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a power generating facility carrying out plant isolations and issuing Safe to Work permits as required by the maintenance department Extensive knowledge & understanding of OHS Act, Excavation Construction Regulations PSR & ORHVS (high voltage), PC Skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Maximo, OPSLOG Workflow (ETD Requirements NQF Level 4) ETD Certification as Electrical Level 4 Legislative Practitioner and Assessor & Moderator Certification an advantage
