Job Description
The Centre for Researching Education and Labour seeks to fill a position for a researcher assistant for its research programme. *This is a 12 month contract position, starting in April 2020. The incumbents will participate primarily in two research programmes, one investigating relationships between knowledge, qualifications, labour markets, and work; and one investigating occupations and national occupational systems.Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who want to pursue a career investigating the relationship between education and work and progress into a PhD.Minimum Requirements• A Masters degree in the Social Sciences is preferred (preferably Education/ History/Sociology/Political Science or allied disciplines.• Academic/ work experience in related fields, particularly research or work experience which has developed insight into the literature and debates about knowledge and curriculum; labour markets, divisions of labour, and labour process; and relationships between education, work, and social justice.
