Research Assistant (Part-Time - 25 Hours/week)

Job Description

Main purpose of the job:To conduct outcome assessments and interviews with women (their partners), and anthropometric measurements on their infants.Location:Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic HospitalKey Performance Areas:Conduct outcome assessments with women and their partnersConduct assessments and measurements for infantsSchedule and follow-up on participant appointmentsManage scheduled appointments and visits in accordance with the study protocolMaintain accurate and up to date study recordsAssist with data collection capture and managementCompile relevant reports and feedback on project activitiesTake ownership and accountability and demonstrate effective self-managementEnsure quality of data collected is of the highest standard

Responsibilities + Skills

Experience working with children and families, preferably in a health and research environmentCandidates with experience conducting clinical assessments including anthropometry are desirableImmediate availability

Education

Degree or tertiary qualification is preferable, but not essential, minimum of matric is however required

Experience

GCP and Research Ethics certification are requiredFluency in at least two local languages including EnglishHigh levels of computer literacy and advanced use of MS Office, experience using REDCap will be an added advantage
