Job PurposeTo provide ongoing risk management support, guidance, identification, monitoring and review to the relevant divisions and allocated projects in line with the bank’s risk management frameworks, policies, standards and procedures. Embed the relevant risk management frameworks in the relevant divisions, track management actions & risk mitigation strategies and ensure effective reporting & escalation of risks to the relevant governance structures.Job ResponsibilitiesDeliver on the Group Risk Management strategies and annual business plans aligned to regulatory requirements (BASEL, Banks Act) and take corrective action, where necessary.Provide input into the enhancement of the Risk Management Frameworks, methodologies, policies, processes.Monitor and analyse major operational risk losses and control breakdowns.Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders to facilitate accomplishments of risk objectives.Become a trusted advisor to, and influence decision making of stakeholders by providing an advisory service, guidance and support on risk management practices.Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth.Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values, leading by example.Identify opportunities to influence the improvement or enhancement of business processes and methodologies adding value to Nedbank.Improved processes and culture by contributing to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives. Monitor for conformance to security policies; standards and other applicable risk related policies. Assist business with risk management for business as usual activities and projects; aligned with the Risk Management frameworks and guidelines. Promote and maintain a culture of Risk awareness and accountability in the Division. Assist with operationalisation of all components of Risk Management; ensuring that all relevant/related risks in GT are identified and measured.
