Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting teaching, research and the general
intellectual life of the university and for educating students and staff in the principles and
techniques of efficient information retrieval by providing an information service to the
academic community in order to meet their needs and fulfil the mission and vision of the
University and library. The key areas of responsibility are Information resources
management; Information consultation and information delivery; Teaching and Learning;
Marketing, outreach, communication and professional development.

Responsibilities + Skills

Education

university degree plus a post graduate diploma in Library / Information Studies, or aB.Bibl.

Experience

Three years relevant experience in an academic LibraryBasic understanding of research methodologyExperience using the Dewey Decimal Classification system and Library of Congress
