What will you do?The HANA System DBA is expected to design, install, configure, administer, monitor and troubleshoot all components of the HANA Platform including the core database as well as the additional components and functionality. The DBA will also be responsible for integration authentication as well as administration tasks related to SDLC in HANA. The DBA will also be expected to consult with HANA developers, HANA modellers, third party Analytic and Reporting tool users as well as ingestion and ETL and security specialists What will make you successful in this role?General Administrative ResponsibilitiesWill be required to reference SAP documentation on the official siteWill be required to use the SAP support site, which include:Downloading software and patchesSearch for support notesLog and follow-up on support incidentsDay-to-day HANA Database Administration ResponsibilitiesWill be required to have an understanding of the SAP HANA system architecture, the memory model and memory usageWill be required to use the SAP HANA Cockpit to monitor system healthWill be required to use SAP HANA Studio to monitor system healthWill be required to use SAP HANA Studio and Cockpit as first line memory usage, performance and issue troubleshootingWill be required to administer virtual tables exposed via Smart Data AccessWill be required to monitor regular backups and perform ad-hoc back-upsWill be required to monitor HANA High Availability/Disaster RecoveryWill be required to destroy data on request
Responsibilities + Skills
Minimum 2 years as a SAP basisMust have an understanding of SAP backend technology example: SSL, DMZ, API, Solution Manager, HANA Cockpit, OSS support and SAP Maintenance plannerSAP Netweaver component will be an advantage
Education

Experience
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3-4 years equivalent work experience.Work experience in SQL scripting
