Job Purpose• To achieve the provincial (Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance) goals, income and profit budgets by way of managing the behaviour of staff and relationships with group company staff in branches, , VAF and Pro-active teams through training, support and motivation.• To ensure on-going and successful sales and distribution of Insurance and Bancassurance products through the branch network (branch including business staff, and VAF and pro-active teams).• To implement sales plans/actions and identify sales opportunities.• To ensure all compliance issues are dealt with and compliance targets are metKey Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesSales management• Provides input in developing sales strategies and identifying opportunities in the personal and commercial space.• Oversees the sales performance across all insurance products, both general (personal and business) and credit life at all channels.• Identifies anomalies and develops plans to rectify and improves sales performance.• Provides input into provincial campaigns to ensure maximum penetration into core banking products.• Maximises penetration of SBSA by achieving sales targets timeously.• Assists product managers in the development and repositioning of new product initiatives.Relationship building and query management• Constantly maintains a professional environment and celebrates successes.• Builds mutually-beneficial work relationships with key players and group companies.• Attends regular meetings with SBSA, VAF, , Acquisiton and PEXCO.• Services all complaints relating to SBIS products.• Participates in ad hoc provincial events.• Supports other business units and other departments within SBIS.• Shares best practices, tactics and action plans.• Escalates and follows up on all unresolved queries, complaints and claims to the appropriate department.
Responsibilities + Skills
Ensure all forms are completed correctly and send to OSS for forwarding to Metrofile as the record keeper Assist channel in achieving their risk compliance ratings in terms of all SBIS requirements Ensure customers are satisfied with SBIS products bought in channel
Provides complete disclosure to the customers in terms of accreditation, service fees, and commission. Ensures proper record keeping in terms of Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, as well as the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA) and National Credit Act (NCA) requirements and in line with Protection of Personal Information (PPI) requirements.
