Senior Debtors & Creditors Clerk - Bookkeeper

Job Description

Job DescriptionBookkeeping Experience a must Full debtors and creditors function with the main duties as below: Processing payments and receipts in compliance with financial policies and procedures Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payables and receivables documents Including invoices and credit notes (supplier and customer) Reconcile the accounts payables/receivables ledger to ensure that all payments/receipts are accurately recorded and allocated. Verify discrepancies and resolve customers / suppliers accounts Ensure accurate and timely debtor and creditor records are maintained Maintain debtor and creditor databases Maintain and develop supplier and customer relations (within the finance function) Assist with BEE submissions and reports Adhoc administration functions All duties to be performed in accordance with the accounting policies and procedures of the company These duties are not limited to the above and might change depending on Managements requirements. KNOWLEDGE • Knowledge of creditors / debtors administration processes – full function • Understanding of VAT • Knowledge of how to perform reconciliation’s • Filing SKILLS • Computer o Pastel Evolution (preferred) o Excel o Word o Outlook • Soft Skills o Problem solving skills o Administration skills o Verbal and written communication skills (incl. telephone etiquette) ATTRIBUTES • Deadline driven • Punctual • Organised • Self motivated • Detail orientated • Process driven • People orientated • Team player
