Conducting risk-based due diligence checks on third parties, including careful analysis of ownership and legal status of third parties.
Performs enhanced due diligence on high risk businesses and individuals; conducting all due diligence relared screening and/or investigations as assigned.
Analyse financial statements and accounting records provided by an individual or company to determine financial stability and fitness.
Conduct research and reporting using Internet, commercial databases, bank inquiries and contact with other entities in supporting the Nedbank Due Diligence, Anti-Bribery and Corruption programs.
Research and analysis of individuals, entities or events through public records, media or other tools.
Evaluation of information and information sources for accuracy, reliability and relevance as an integral part of the internal processes.
Daily monitoring of certain factors in all Africa countries where Nedbank has footprint and which could have an impact on Nedbank assets / reputation / staff or clients. This includes the updating of systems and the distribution of reports to all stakeholders on daily basis.
Responsibilities + Skills
BAHons Journalism and media Studies, B.Com (Accounting) degree or an equivalent CA(SA) undergraduate qualification at a SAICA accredited university.Criminal Investigations and Forensic Services Diploma or equivalent job experience in the financial services industry would be an advantage.
Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships; developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.Perform ongoing due diligence by periodically evaluating each intermediary relationship to find links between current intermediaries and government officials or illicit activities linked to corruption.
3-5 years security, banking, compliance, forensic or audit related experience.A working knowledge of Anti-Money laundering and Anti-bribery and Corruption laws and regulations is important for the performance of this position.
