The School has a strong team of dedicated staff and excellent facilities.Brief DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:A PhD in Industrial Engineering is essential. An undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering would be a strong advantage. The successful candidate will have a distinguished record of scholarship/teaching and be research active in Industrial Engineering Management with focus areas of operations management and project management. S/he will conduct and supervise research at all levels. A record of having raised substantial research funding will be advantageous. The successful candidate will have a proven record of interactions with industry and the profession.The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the basic material pertaining to undergraduate Industrial Engineering courses, and will be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in SA, if not already registered.DUTIES:Contributions towards excellence in research, education and professional services; academic leadership in the field of Industrial Engineering, undergraduate and postgraduate lecturing in the field of Industrial Engineering with emphasis on field research; research leadership and project supervision; active engagement with industrial partners; University administration.
