Job Description

The School of Built Environment and Development Studies is a multi-disciplinaryresearch and teaching with Programs in Architecture, Community Development,Development Studies, Housing, Planning and Population Studies. This School combinesundergraduate and post-graduate teaching, research and community engagement. TheSchool seeks to appoint two lecturers to teach, supervise and provide academicleadership in the Discipline of Housing. The successful candidate will be expected tolecture both undergraduate and postgraduate students; to contribute to the academicand management functions of the School and to conduct and publish research.The main purpose of this post is the training and education of students in thetechnology aspects of the Discipline of Housing and to build the knowledge base oftechnology in the discipline through research and publication. Administration of certainteaching activities within the discipline is also required. Lecturers are expected toestablish themselves as experts in their field and should be active in communityengagement related to their discipline.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: SENIOR LECTURERA PhD in Housing related technology field, such as Architecture, Quantity
