Job PurposeThis role is core to the business’s portfolio management, critically analysing and contributing to the equity research process, active asset management of client portfolios, and client relationship management. The portfolio manager will be accountable for a portfolio of high value and sophisticated clients characterised by a high touch client service and overall client experience, by leveraging from a robust investment philosophy and process that is aligned to the MD house view. Foster collaborative and deep relationships with wealth managers and relationship managers, respectively. Expresses well-articulated views on all stocks and sectors we invest in. Must be a subject matter expert showcasing deep thinking across sectors, markets and the ability to make sense of highly complex markets and issues. Demonstrable ability to formulate business strategy development and implementation thereof. Promotes the investment philosophy and tests the integrity of the work done by the team against the investment philosophy. The individual is accountable for offering clients with a high touch personal client experience, building deep relationships with clients, constantly raising the bar, in order to achieve trusted advisor status. Responsibility for generating trading revenue with client base leveraging off the house view and investment ideas generated by the research team.
