Shift Production Manager

Job Description

Job DescriptionReporting directly to the Production Manager. Manage and oversee the entire shift. The Shift Manager must be prepared to work 12 hour shifts in a 24/7 day operation leading and managing a team of Operators and Supervisor's. Ensure that all aspects of production processes and shifts are efficiently and effectively managed in order to meet production objectives from a quantity and quality perspective within the appropriate time scales and following the agreed standards whilst continuously looking for ways of improvement. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that production plan is implemented on an on-going basis Ensure on-holds or rejected items or are managed and minimised Management of QM system to ensure audit results are > 90% Adherence to HACCP & AIB standards to ensure accreditation is achieved and maintained Ensure employee attendance is managed pro-actively Attending to staff performance and conduct issues as they arise in an appropriate manner Ensure that FH is following best practice, keep in touch with market trends and consider ways in which operation can improve Manage housekeeping and health and safety processes Ensure that machinery and equipment are in good working order at all times. Manage processes to ensure zero incidents or accidents Ensuring that areas within the production unit are maintained and cleaned on an on-going basis Drive performance through Supervisors and Operators to ensure outputs are met on a daily basis Diciplinary processes Experience in successfully managing a shift as well as Supervisors
