Job DescriptionPosition Based in Cullinan. ROLE PURPOSE: Reporting to the Superintendent Survey, this role is responsible to ensure the operational effectiveness of the slope stability monitoring system and provide ground movement analytical and status reports to meet geotechnical measurement specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Maintain data availability by maintaining field hardware and software related to the pit stability monitoring system ? Maintain connectivity to field equipment by troubleshooting LAN issues and resolving them in a timely manner ? Install, configure and maintain field systems related to the pit stability monitoring system by diagnostics and timely fault resolution ? Develop and implement movement alarm notification and response process ? Reporting, Monitoring & Evaluation, Audit: Ensure that all Slope stability / technical services reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines and schedules ? Measurement and analysis of ground movement or structural deformation ? Issue routine system health and status reports timely ? Issue routine movement analysis reports timely as required by the Geotechnical Engineering Superintendent ? Develop and implement modifications to optimize and improve the system and support requirements ? Provide technical support to the Survey and Geotechnical Engineering sections as required ? Engagement and Communication: Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound

Responsibilities + Skills

Education

Drivers License TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: ? Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN errors ? Develop relevant measurement reports ? Perform diagnostics on control and instrumentation systems ? Learn to use new software applications quickly

Experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: ? N6 Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Light Current or Instrumentation and Process Control, OR ? S4 National Diploma in Instrumentation
