Job Description

Job PurposeTo manage risks, generate revenue, execute trades, engage internal and external customers / stakeholders in order to support and achieve Global Markets strategy.Job ResponsibilitiesGenerate revenue from trading activities and achieve budget through Portfolio Management, maximising revenue out of hedging activities, trading direction across all product categories, while maximising opportunity.Manage subsequent risk through tactical trading positions.Build internal and external stakeholder relationships by demonstrating knowledge, providing market research information and expert opinion.Ensure stakeholder expectations are met by providing advice, formulating, participating and executing on appropriate strategies.Optimise deal flow for the benefit of the client base by providing competitive pricing as guided by the coverage model and profitability as guided by professional judgement of markets.Enhance operational efficiencies and strategies by assisting in continuously reviewing and improving business, technical and operating processes, systems and workflows.Formulate and execute Group and Regulatory strategies timeously and accurately.Assist in the pricing of structures and manage exposure in relevant portfolios by responding to stakeholder requests and providing accurate and timeous prices within agreed pricing rules & mandates.Manage risk, compliance and operational processes by operating within the market risk policy, defined regulatory & statutory requirements.Ensure risk is neutralized or eliminated at the best price through optimal hedging at the optimal price and ensuring availability of plans or responses for every scenario.Enhance operational efficiencies and strategies by assisting in continuously reviewing and improving business, technical and operating processes, systems and workflows.Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems, process, services and solutions are aligned.
