Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Assist the Refrigeration Engineer in maintaining and repairing all refrigeration and air conditioning systems on board the vesselMonitor and maintain proper temperatures and humidity levels in all refrigerated and frozen storage areasTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration and air conditioning systemsPerform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, changing filters, and checking refrigerant levelsKeep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performedAssist in the preparation and execution of the vessel's refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance planFollow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environmentAssist in training and supervising junior engineering staff as needed
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Familiarity with marine refrigeration systems is preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well in a team environment
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with refrigeration and air conditioning systems
