Job Description

General Overhaul and maintain diesel motors and other equipment by performing the following duties:Service and repair diesel electric locomotives, electrical units, diesel hydraulics, hopper wagons and auxiliary loco equipment pertaining to various machines and equipment.General fitting and electrical work as may be required during the course of business.Carry out basic arc and gas welding.Attend to emergency breakdowns and derailments.Maintain and repair tools and equipment (non- locomotive).Spray painting of locomotives and wagons as may be required.The collection and delivery of parts and spares.Attend to record keeping and job related administration.Attend to work related safety meetings and act as safety representative when nominated
