Job Description:We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Field Guide / Ranger to join our team. As a Field Guide / Ranger at [Game Lodge Name], you will have the unique opportunity to share your love for the natural world with our guests and help them discover the wonders of the African wilderness.Responsibilities:Safari Drives: Lead safari drives and walks, providing insightful information about the flora and fauna of the region, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests.Wildlife Tracking: Use your tracking skills to locate and identify wildlife, allowing guests to witness the magic of untamed creatures in their natural habitat.Guest Engagement: Interact with guests, answer questions, and share your knowledge about the ecosystem, conservation efforts, and the lodge's wildlife.
Responsibilities + Skills
Strong knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and ecosystem.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A passion for wildlife, conservation, and outdoor adventures.Experience working in a similar role in a game lodge or reserve is preferred
Education
Professional Field Guide qualification, FGASA Level 1 minimum (FGASA Level 2 or higher is an advantage).Valid First Aid certification.
