Reporting to the General ManagerOverall Purpose/Objective of the Role:The immediate task is to assume overall leadership of all financial and administrative issues at the company. The CFO will have responsibility for a broad spectrum of financial and administrative duties with the ultimate objective of maximising the long-term financial performance of the asset. This company objective has to be delivered by ensuring compliance with various contracts and concession agreements as well as compliance with all permit licences, rules and regulations governing the company. The ideal candidate is expected to manage all project documentation relevant to the performance of the role. Additionally, the management responsibility of this role will include integration of the various functional areas such as Finance, IT and relevant Contract administration. The challenge is to immediately improve existing business processes and/or create new ones to meet the long-term objective to maximise profitability and providing immediate support and comfort to the stakeholders. The need is for an energetic, committed, positive change agent who can step into an existing situation and “turn it around” whilst working closely with the existing plant management and with overseas colleagues. It is imperative that the CFO build credible relations with all the various stakeholdersEnsure Team members develop and deliver an accurate, effective, efficient and timely financial reporting package and develop a process/procedure to ensure this happens. Develop and maintain procedures to ensure accurate forecasting of revenue and expenditure.
