Full job descriptionHire Resolves client in the Household Product Manufacturing Industry is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As the Distribution Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient distribution of household products and ensuring the smooth operation of the distribution network.Responsibilities:Develop and implement distribution strategies to optimize efficiency and effectivenessCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillmentMonitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to maintain adequate stockManage transportation and logistics to maximize cost-effectiveness and minimize delivery lead timesImplement quality control measures to ensure product integrity during transportationOversee the maintenance and upkeep of distribution facilities and equipment
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Tertiary Qualification Degree/Diploma in logisticsMinimum 10 - 15 years distribution and warehousing experience in a FMCG environment within a large distribution centre environment - essential
Experience
ERP systems knowledge and experience with JDE preferableProven experience in distribution management, preferably in the household products industryIn-depth knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and transportation
