5* Game Lodge in the Pilanesberg area is looking for a strong, hands-on Lodge Manager / Deputy General Manager with a good understanding of all aspects of lodge operations. We need someone who is energetic, proactive, with a well-developed concept of the importance of providing a world class guest experience.Acts as the second in charge and leading the team in the absence of the GM.The Assistant General Manager will assist the GM in development and implementation of property operational standards and initiatives.Implement systems and procedure that ensure consistent service delivery in respect of the day to day running of the Lodge.Proactively manage guest feedback and ensure that action points are in place with the Heads of Departments.Monitor service delivery in all areas of the lodge and identifying performance gaps and ensuring that corrective points are in line.Strong ability to train, mentor, develop and continually improve the team.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Competent all-rounder with knowledge of all lodge operational aspects (Rooms Division, F&B, Maintenance, Finances, HR, Project Management etc.)
Experience
The perfect candidate will have 3 years experience as Deputy General Manager in a 5-star luxury lodge environment of similar size and complexity.
